Nusa Penida

This was a quick day trip booked through Airbnb Experiences. 

We took a shuttle from the villa to Sanur Beach, which is the place to catch the fast boats. 

(Insert Dramamine for no seasickness, and car sickness, once we arrived to the island) 

We had a guide who helped us along the way, showing us the sights helping us to find our driver when we got there. We were on this trip with a couple who were on their honeymoon!

The driver warned us that there were some broken roads ahead, which soon made a lot of sense as we were bumping and shaking and flying all around in the car! It was a bit much… 

The best parts about the car ride though, were 1, I wasn’t driving..not only bumpy, but super narrow roads and 2, the driver must have found my ipod from college because he was blasting all the jams. 

We basically had a tour from the car around the island. We stopped a few times along the way to take in some incredible sights, and some killer beaches!

Kelingking Beach was my absolute favorite! Ya know the one where the cliffs look like a freakin’ DINOSAUR! - This beach was definitely my outfit inspiration for the day! 

Broken Beach- So many incredible pictures of this one! 

Angel’s Billabong - This was the beautiful danger zone! It looked like an infinity pool, unfortunately when we were there, we couldn’t go in as the waters were rising too high and could have swept us away! 

Crystal Bay- This was the only beach we saw where we were able to lay out on the sand, or jump in for a swim! 

After touring around the hotspots and stopping for a Bintang, we headed over to a lunch spot for some nasi goreng, and then back to the boats to go home. 

This day trip was a fun way to see all around Nusa Penida. Some folks opted to spend the night and have more time to explore here, but for us, this was a perfect way to see all the sights we wanted to see!
